CLARE MORGAN
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE DIRECTOR
ABOUT.
You may ask, as I did myself, what does a Customer Experience Director do? Well, I want to ensure all our customers get everything they need from us as a business and that they can rely on our hassle free personal service. I started my career in cheese at the tender age of 19, working in my hometown of Somerset for a Farmhouse Cheddar producer and I can say cheese has been a part of my life ever since, I found my vocation in life, It sounds cheesy but I love it. It is also how I met my husband. We have 2 children together; I am a stepmother of 2 and a Nanny.
EXPERIENCE.
After school I went to college doing a Higher National Diploma in Business & Finance, no idea of what I really wanted to do. I got my first real job working in accounts for a Farmhouse Cheddar Producer in the heart of Somerset, I loved it but found the sales side more of interest to me and after several years in accounts, I finally moved into sales. I worked with great people where I learned a lot about cheese, grading and selling to the wholesale/foodservice and manufacturing businesses; I gained several years experience selling for this company then it was time to move on but I stayed within the cheese business. I have gained extensive knowledge of my customer base and supplying cheese into all areas of businesses. Back in 2009, my husband and I were given the opportunity to start our own business and so Nantwich Cheese was born. We have seen good and hard years, finally seeing our most recent change with settling into the Beat food Group which has given us a new focus and enthusiasm for the business to grow.
PROUDEST MOMENT.
Well I have several, mainly around my family. Firstly, getting married to my amazing husband and then the births of our 2 children, they make me so proud every day with how they are growing into thoughtful young adults. I am also very proud to have seen both my stepchildren settle down and get married, become a nanny in 2008 and watch her grow into a confident young lady. I am also proud to have run the Great North Run in a respectable 1hr 58mins in 2013 for my 40th year and raise money for Cancer Research in memory of my Dad. When I crossed the start line I could have burst as it was very emotional. I then went onto run another half marathon the following year in Chester.
PASSIONATE ABOUT.
I am passionate, hardworking and have a strong work ethic. I am self-disciplined but also enjoy being part of a team. I believe if you live and learn there are no mistakes, just lessons learned. Be the best person you can be and be true to yourself, your family and friends. I love to cook with a glass of wine particularly when its for my family and friends, enjoying social evenings with the music blaring and having a boogie. I enjoy regular spin classes. My dad had a cleaning business, so I have always enjoyed cleaning even before Mrs Hinch
