I began my career in sales at age 18. I started in Cheese working for one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, it was there I gained exposure to and invaluable experience across all sectors, from wholesale and foodservice through to manufacturing and retail. I managed the company’s largest accounts and built up a fantastically loyal customer base, some of which are still with me today. After many successful years of working within the dairy industry, I moved away from food for an opportunity to join a global blue-chip company where I refined my sales strategy and benefitted from their corporate disciplines. I am absolutely passionate about our business, our brands and our products, what we do and the journey we are on. I fell in love with the sales profession because of the freedom, flexibility, and daily learning on offer. I have always been driven by the simple notion of, the more you put in the larger the reward. The truth is that good salespeople are focused on offering the best solution to a buyer’s problem and here at Beat we approach the sales process from the perspective of giving not getting. When you focus on serving others, people naturally want to do business with you. I learn something new every day, and I love that no two days in this business are ever the same. I am hooked by its never-ending challenges, constant engagement with new people, eliminating obstacles, handling complex decisions, and ultimately beating our competitors
